Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe and transfer to Kampala

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport an Africa Sceneries representative will welcome you and transfer you to Kampala for an overnight.

Overnight: Cassia Lodge

Meals: Bed and Breakfast

Day 2: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Take a drive south west of the country through several landscapes and amazing sceneries en route to Bwindi South. After breakfast, start the drive to the home to the mountain gorillas. You will have a quick stopover at the Equator where you will get an opportunity to partake in photography before proceeding to Mbarara for lunch. This drive will take you through the grasslands of Ankole and further to the west. Look out for the long horned cattle as you drive to Bwindi where you will arrive in the evening.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest

After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters from where you will be briefed before entering the forest to trek the Mountain Gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take 3 -9 hours on walking in the jungle before one returns to his/her accommodation, the jungle, precipitous landscape and rain may make the tour challenging but with a close encounter face-face with the largest primate of Africa is a remarkable experience you will ever have in life. Upon spotting the Gorillas, you will be allowed an hour with them. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek.

Day 4: Departure for Entebbe

Breakfast and then start the drive back to Entebbe with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. Stop over at particular spots for photo shots and at Mpambire drum makers. Your driver/guide will then complete your transfer to the airport in time for your evening flight back home or you can choose to spend the night in Kampala/Entebbe
